Chris Fields Mixed Martial Artist
Well last week I moved into a little studio space in Dublin ” Moxie” . It’s wonderful to have somewhere to shoot now and to be part of such a vibrant community of artists. It has taken a few days to get everything organized and as I was doing that I was keen to get my first subject in. I could not have asked for a better subject than Chris Fields, Mixed Martial artist ( Cage fighter ). I had shot Chris sometime ago and he was great to work with so he was ideal person to try out a new space and some new lighting ideas.
I have recently been working on composite image making ( I blogged about it a few weeks ago ) and I wanted to do a shoot lighting the subject for this purpose. I also wanted the light to be modeling so as to create a sense of depth in the image.
The shot above is a studio shot with the background dropped in later ( The background was shot in Graystones looking towards Bray )
